In the following problem set, a series of compounds will be shown which have 0 to 4 internal planes of symmetry. These compounds will be shown as structural drawings, and in three dimensions, using a dynamic model requiring the MDL Chemscape Chime plugin. You should examine each structure and attempt to identify the number and locations of these internal planes of symmetry (shown in red in the sample on the right). You may either work the problems in order, or you may jump to any problem in the set by clicking on the problem number below. Clicking on the "Begin" button will take you to Problem #1.
