The Library
The Library consists of a collection of physical and structural data for a series of 50 organic compounds. The compounds have been selected to be representative of the various functional groups covered in typical undergraduate courses and they are shown as 3-D structures as well as line drawings; proton- and carbon-NMR data are also available for all compounds. The library is particularly useful for:- visualizing functional group geometries in 3-dimensions
- reviewing conversions between "line drawings" and molecular geometry
- reviewing functional group nomenclature on "real world" examples
- reviewing the effects of structure on NMR chemical shifts
