02-02-04:
Our newly renovated NMR Facility in 2210 SEL is now open for business! Thus, most of the pages on this website have been updated with information about our new Bruker AV-500 NMR spectrometer and our newly-acquired Varian Gemini-2300 NMR spectrometer. Look for a new web page specifically about the new lab (with pictures and acknowledgements) to be uploaded soon.
01-10-03:
New
instruction downloads for 1H-13C HETCOR and the polarization-transfer laboratory on the
Varian Mercury-Vx-300. These are linked from the updated training
materials and teaching
labs pages.
08-03-01:
New
instruction downloads for 1H COSY and 13C-T1 experiments on the
Varian Mercury-Vx-300. These are linked from the updated training
materials and teaching
labs pages.
07-16-01: New
sample preparation tips page linked from the training materials
and teaching labs pages.
06-28-01: The
online_schedule
is available for use starting today. A big thank-you goes to Devin
Sears for his heroic efforts in getting this set up. You can read
about it on the memos
page.
04-23-01:
Started a new page on NMR applications to our undergraduate teaching
labs.
04-18-01: A few more formatting tweaks.
03-12-01: New instruction set for the Varian Mercury system,
thanks to Alex Bischoff. See the Training Materials page.
03-01-01: New non-framed format done using Dreamweaver.
The Varian Mercury-Vx-300 spectrometer is back on line, with
the new Nalorac 4-Nucleus-Plus probe installed. This allows observation
of 1H, 19F, 31P and 13C without any probe tuning being necessary.
02-01-01: The training material for the Avance spectrometers
has been updated, and a new guide for doing 19F NMR spectroscopy
on the Avance spectrometers has been added. See the Training Materials
page.
01-26-01: The new 5mm BBO-Z-gradient probe has been installed
in the Avance DPX-400. Most of the standard parameter sets have
been created for the new probe.
11-22-00: Updated the style and content of all pages and
the upper navigation page. Added a new memos
page that lists the memos and email communications of importance.
- 10-20-00:
Added a page with the recent laboratory status memo I put out.
- 08-23-00:
Thanks to Alex Bischoff, we have a new instruction set for 1D
1H and 13C acquisition on our new Varian Mercury-VX-300 system.
See the Training Materials page.
- 08-11-00:
Various updates throughout regarding the new Varian Mercury-VX-300
system being available. Also added a picture
page for the new Varian system.
- 07-05-00:
The signup rules and facility policies downloads have been updated
- see the Policies
page.
- 05-10-00:
The 500 is back up after suffering a disk crash. This provides
a perfect opportunity to think about data backups. Everyone should
read my email memo
about it.
- 04-06-00:
Updated the Instruments
page with new information about upcoming upgrades. Also changed
the page colors.
- 02-24-00:

for routine 2D experiments on our Bruker Avance spectrometers.
- 02-16-00:
The BBO probe for our DRX-500 has just returned from Bruker after
getting a Z-gradient upgrade. This probe will require re-shimming
to meet specifications, but is servicable as is and is currently
installed. Now, all of our probes on our new Avance systems have
Z-gradient capability. For specific updates about probe availability
check the status page. Also, the Mercury console and sample-changer
upgrade for our VXR-300S is on order and installation is currently
scheduled for late March, 2000. This note and other changes are
on the updated instruments page.
- 01-04-00:
Minor updates, including the status page.

move.
- The Bruker
Regional NMR User's Meeting, held in the RRC-East NMR Lab on Thursday,
September 30th and Friday, October 1st, was a great success. I
thank you all for your cooperation. I will put out a memo about
this meeting within the next few days.
- Finally,
the status page was updated.
