A dynamic biotechnology company is seeking a highly motivated scientist to join a growing team. This individual will play a key role in the discovery of new therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers through the identification of differentially expressed and phosphorylated proteins.
Overview of responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will involve performing liquid chromatography-electrospray mass spectrometry analyses of complex protein mixtures and interpreting peptide sequence data using Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry (FTMS) instrumentation. This specifically includes the application and development of proprietary analytical technologies and methods in partnered programs and collaborations. This candidate will be responsible for meeting project milestones, assisting with advancing the technology, and growing into a leadership role.
Experience & Expertise:
A Ph.D. in a chemistry- or biochemistry-related field,
Direct experience using HPLC and FTMS instrumentation for the analysis of complex peptide mixtures
Skills in protein biochemistry and software development will be advantageous.
Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
Must be able to handle multiple projects and work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
