Innovative approach at Chemistry computational facilities
 
We are developing and testing new computation and visualization strategies.
 

Gigabit networking

The computational labs are connected to the cluster andbetween themselves through 1Gb/s Ethernet

   

This allows:

  • deliberate mounting of cluster and local hardrives onto lab desktops
  • running jobs from distance on delocalized hardrives
  • performing ultrafast distant visualization by loading jobs from delocalized hardrives into RAMs of lab desktops
   

 

We are planning to extend our resources to support 3D visualization
